Enviro Data requires Windows and Microsoft Office (Microsoft 365) and will not run on the Mac OS. However, you can use it with your Mac by using Parallels to run Windows on your Mac. Instructions can be found here How to Install Windows on Mac.

Another Option is to use a virtual machine like a Windows 365 Cloud PC with Enviro Data installed on it.

If you are working from an office environment where you have multiple users and/or both PCs and Macs, Geotech can provide you with a Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environment running in the cloud that can be accessed from your PC, Mac, tablet or smartphone. There is also an option to use AVD with any modern (HTML compliant) web browser like Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.

Enviro Data Version 8C has been released, tested and is supported on Windows 11.

Enviro Spase requires ArcGIS Version 10.0 or newer running on a Windows computer with a sufficient Processor/HD/Memory/Display & OS sufficient to run ArcGIS. 

Before installing Enviro Data, you need to determine if you are using a 32- or 64-bit version of Office (not Windows) and then use the correct version of Enviro Data to match the version of Office.

 Microsoft Office Professional contains the programs Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and others. Enviro Data requires a complete install of Microsoft Office Pro or Office 365 as it not only uses Access but also Excel and Outlook. Geotech recommends using Microsoft Office 2016 or later or Office 365, and with Windows 10. However, Enviro Data should work with older versions of Office back to 2003 and WIndows 7 and 8.1. Due to the increased macro security starting in Access 2007 additional minor steps (see below) may be required after installing the software and before using it.

You may also need to Enable Content and/or set the Microsoft Office Trusted Locations. 

Note that some features like the secure version of the VIEWER or the Map feature are not currently supported when using the 64-bit version of Office. 

Enviro Data runs on a WIndows computer using a current model computers without any additional hardware. We recomend 8 GB of RAM. While not required, having Enviro Data and your database on a solid state drive (SSD) will increase performance significantly. Enviro Data requires a complete install of Microsoft Office Pro or Office 365 as it not only uses Access but also Excel and Outlook. 

In order to prevent data loss and/or database corruption due to power loss or surges, we recommend the use of a battery backup / uninterruptible power supply (UPS) on both the computer and network. Also, if the computer does not have a hard disk backup program, we recommend you install and use one.
